The topic of the Game Jam was "Doom but we can talk to the Monsters". I spent the biggest amount of time during the game jam teaching Unity3d a billboarding behaviour the way
Doom had back in the day. The game is laid out as a classic deathmatch scenario. The jam version had an incomplete net code and all you could do was shoot at inactive soldiers.
The current version can be used in a network setting. One person has to function as the server while the others can join the session by entering the server IP.
Google Native Client or WebGl doesn't support direct network connections.
However you can download Hello Doom here. Even when it's called Linux client, Unity3d official only supports Ubuntu 10.04 and up.
Due to copyright issues, we used graphics offered by freedoom which means we are under their BSD licence. Level textures are taken from cgtextures .
